Messi wins UEFA golden boot award

Barcelona forward, Lionel Messi has won the European Golden Shoe for a record of four times, drawing level with Real Madrid’s Cristiano Ronaldo. 
Messi is the top scorer in Europe’s main five leagues this season in the wake of his 37 goals in the LA Liga. 
Messi scored twice against Eibar a weekend ago to complete the La Liga season as top scorer on 37 goals. 
That gave him 74 golden Shoe points with every goal worth two points in the table. 
Sporting Lisbon of Portugal striker, Bas Dost scored a hattrick in his last match against Chaves to finish second with 34 goals in the Portuguese topflight and 68 points. 
In Germany, Borussia Dortmund’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was third with 31 goals in the Bundesliga to take the Torjagerkanone. 
Messi has beforehand won the honor in 2010, 2012, and 2013. 
After Ronaldo won the golden Shoe as a Manchester Joined player in 2007-08, no other player has originated from a club outside Spain. 
Despite the fact that in 2013-14 Liverpool’s Luis Suarez shared the honor with Ronaldo.
