Winning one Grand Slam is tough but Rafael Nadal, the undisputed King of Clay, has gone on and won the French open for an unbelievable tenth time – La Decima.

There was absolutely no challenge from Stan Wawrinka on the day, or perhaps it would be more apt to say Nadal never gave him a chance as he romped to his 15th major title with a 6-2, 6-3, 6-1 win which will reverberate around the world.

Nadal was in cruise control throughout the game and his domination from the baseline was something Stan just could not handle. Even Stan’s stinging backhands never troubled Rafa who looked to be a man on a mission.

It was a scarily dominant performance which has seen Nadal pull clear of Pete Sampras in Grand Slam wins. Only Federer remains ahead of him (18).

Nadal said, “It’s really unbelievable, to win the 10th is incredible, it’s very special. I’d like to thank all of you today. I’m very emotional.”
